β Frequently Asked Questions
.
How do I add an image to a design or product?
.
Upload an image using the "Add Image" button in the Zazzle design tool. The image will be saved in your 'My Images' folder. Alternatively, under your account settings, select 'My Images'. Here you can upload images in bulk. You can select a bundle of related images and add them to a collection for easy access later on. You can also bulk delete. This is your image file and it can be accessed from ANY store on your account.
.

.
Designing with Text and Images
.
Text: Add text to your product in the Design Area. You can select font, size, justification, line spacing, letter spacing and more. What you cannot do at this present time (July 2024) is convert text to bold or italic or capital etc. You instead must select those font styles from the font drop down menu. To capitalize, you merely type in capitals. The downside of this is that if you want to use a variety of bold, italic in a single text field, you have to create separate text template fields for each version of text. This is time-consuming and restrictive, but if you want the variety, then you invest the time to get the best result.
.

Create Enticing Mockups:

.
Zazzle provides mockups for their products and some are better than others. As creators we are encouraged to add our own product covers. If you wish to invest time in doing so there are a variety of templates available on πEtsy, Canva and other mockup platforms that will facilitate the creation of professional looking cover images.
.
Showcase your designs on product mockups to enhance the customer experience. While not guaranteed to elevate your marketplace position, high-quality mockups can create a professional look and help customers visualize how your designs will appear on the final products. Use Zazzle's built-in mockup tools or invest in third-party mockup templates to save time and effort.
.
Customization is Key:
.
Many Zazzle products allow for exciting customization options like color variations, text additions, and placement adjustments. Embrace these features to offer your customers a unique and personalized experience. Experiment with different customization options to see what resonates best with your target audience.

.
Setting Your Prices and Royalties:
.
Earning on Your Terms: Zazzle allows you to set your royalty rate anywhere from 5% to 99% for each product or your entire store. Explore what works best for you!
.
14.9% is the optimal royalty to ensure no additional fees and based on Zazzle community forum feedback, it is the most popular royalty setting. You can change it month by month if you want to split test, but be mindful of the cut-off date for changing royalties towards Christmas (usually some time in October) as it can't be changed again until after the holidays and into the new year.
.
Zazzle's Profit Calculator:
.
When you set your royalty using a t-shirt as an example Zazzle calculates how much royalty you will make.
.
Use this handy tool to estimate your earnings based on your chosen price and royalty rate.
